Dear Indonesia Debating Community,
On behalf of IDEA Debate 2011 Adjudication Core, we are writing to open applications for Invited Adjudicator Slots to attend in IDEA Debate 2011 (2nd - 6th Dec 2011). These are welcomed from active student-judges, graduate student-judges, or even teacher and lecturer-judges, it's open for all of you who stay in Sumatra only. We recommend institutions cascade this information to anyone potentially interested within their societies.
The Invited Adjudicator will get some facilities from the committee, such as Free Accommodation, Meals (during Tournament), Certificate and will get subsidy for Transportation (based on necessity).
Considering that this is Regional-Scale Tournament with maximum Cap 40 varsity teams, There are total of +/- 10 slots for Invited Adjudicators (Each room chaired by qualified Adjudicators). They are chosen primarily based on individual merit and need for funding in order to attend the tournament.
All successful applicants will be required to apply for any other funding, including institutional funding, for which they are eligible, in order to maximize the number and quality of judges we can fund.
Applications should cover your debating and adjudicating experiences (in Doc or PDF format). Applications are now open and remain open until 12.oo PM Thursday, the 10th of November 2011. All applicants should return the attached application form, saved as '[Surname], [First name] Application' to malisa.sudirman@gmail.com by this time. No other members of the adjudication team should be copied in, as this would disrupt the anonymity of CVs before they are sent to someone to evaluate. For the same reason, please direct all queries to this address, including those relating to any difficulties with the timescales in question, about which we are keen to hear.
